Steps To Salvation

Belief in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying " The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." Luke 24:5-7

You must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior by inviting Him into your life and heart

"If you declare with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand." - Romans 5:1-2

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."- Ephesians 2:8-9

Repentance of sin

Repentance- To turn away, change of mind, express regret- To repent would mean to turn away from sin and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life.

" For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus".- Romans 3:23-24

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to" repent" Luke 15:7

Peter replied, " Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

Now that you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior, it is important to create a daily rhythm with the Lord by spending time in His Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the wisdom He might show you in His word. Find a Bible-believing church and profess your faith in Christ by getting baptized as a witness to His saving grace and your new life in Jesus Christ.
